Express Entry

Express Entry

Express Entry is a fast-track application system for skilled foreign workers who want to settle in Canada permanently.

Skilled workers are those who have experience in one or more of these job classifications according to the Canadian National Occupational Classification (NOC).

Managerial Jobs (Skill type 0)

Professional Jobs (Skill type A)

Technical jobs and skilled trades (skill type B)

Candidates submit information about themselves, then the smart online system evaluates them automatically with an unbiased approach, in less time, and with no paperwork involved.

Express Entry is a point-based system, that assesses candidates with points for a set of criteria ranging from work experience to age. Applications are compared to each other, and the higher-scoring skilled workers receive an invitation to immigrate to Canada with permanent resident status.

There are 3 immigration programs managed through Express Entry and each of them has different minimum requirements

  • Canadian Experience
  • Federal Skilled Worker
  • Federal Skilled Trades

If you are eligible in one of the three programs you will be ranked in the Express Entry pool using the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) and given a score. The top candidates in the pool are regularly invited to apply for permanent residence.
